The St. Lucy Athletic Association was created to provide organized athletic opportunities for the students of St. Lucy School and Parish. We are members of the Racine Parochial Athletic League (RPAL) www.rpalsports.com ¬†Our teams play Volleyball, Basketball, and Track in the RPAL league. The St. Lucy Athletic Association helps fund, organize, provide uniform and equipment for our St. Lucy Student Athletes. Sports at St. Lucy’s is open to 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls from St. Lucy’s school and the CCD program. CCD students must be parish members as well.
Sports for the boys include volleyball, basketball, and track. Girls sports include volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, and track. All athletes must have a current physical on file, with the school office, in order to play or practice a sport. The St. Lucy Athletic Association charges each athlete the following per sport – Basketball – $60.00 – Volleyball $40.00 – Track $20.00 and Cheerleading $30.00 to participate. This only pays a portion of the actual cost. The St. Lucy Athletic Association subsidizes our Athletic program through fundraisers. Our main Fundraiser is the St. Lucy Dan Biesack Memorial Basketball Tournament in which we require all families to work three shifts per child per sport.
Our Athletic Association Meetings are held on the Third Thursday of every month at 7:00 in the school Library. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
